Developments in foreign direct investments (FDI) in India in the wake of the new government in Delhi is the topic of a panel discussion at law firm Taylor Wessing in Hamburg. The event, co-organized by Taylor Wessing and German-Indian Round Table (GIRT) Hamburg, will take place on November 5, 2015 between 17:30 and 20:00 hours and is a part of the India Week Hamburg 2015.
FDI to India has increased since the change of government in New Delhi and registered a growth of 22%. India ranks amongst the top-10 most attractive destinations for FDI. But FDI and India, of course, do not represent a one-way street. Outward FDI from India has been also on the increase in the recent times. The event will provide an overview of current economic and legal developments in terms of FDI to and from India.
- The event will begin with a short introduction by Dr. Philipp Behrendt, Partner at Taylor Wessing.
- A presentation will be made by Dr. Rajnish Tiwari from Hamburg University of Technology on current economic development and conditions in India as well as on trends in the FDI.
- A keynote will be delivered by Mr. Anand Prasad, Partner of the leading Indian law-firm Trilegal. Mr. Prasad will report about the current legal developments in the FDI policy regime in India.
All talks will be held in English.
The event is free of charge. There will be an ample opportunity for discussion & networking in a relaxed atmosphere.
